Chapter Philanthropy and Service

The members of the Temple/Belton Alumnae Chapter believe in leading lives with a servant heart. Over the years, the Chapter and its members have donated money to local causes such as Variety's Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children, the Ronald McDonald House, a local child battling cancer, and the Delta Delta Delta Foundation.  We have provided meals for the Ronald McDonald House and Young Lives, a branch of Young Life ministry for teen mothers.

The Chapter also recently began hands-on volunteer opportunities. We have started an annual tradition of assembling Valentine goody bags during our February Delta Love luncheon for the sweet patients at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center. In addition, in the Fall of 2014, the Chapter organized a book drive for the McLane Children's Medical Center. Via Facebook and word of mouth, the effort to stock the children's activity room, book cart, and family room was a huge success with over 45 people participating.

We also sponsor academic awards for the Tri Delta Chapter at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and have donated to the Allison Dickson Tri Delta Scholarship at Southwestern University.
